Remora 2000 is the latest state-of-the-art COMEX submersible .
Remora 2000 is built and equipped as an oceanographic submarine, but its pleasing appearance and design make it a very enjoyable vessel to use.
Its main function: carrying up to two people on underwater expeditions to depths of up to 610 meters for 10 hours, in the comfort and safety of an air-conditioned cabin at atmospheric pressure.
COMEX can also design work submarines to any size and depth requirements.
COMEX has designed and manufactured a large number of manned “civilian” submarines and submersibles for observation, diving, rescuing military submarine crews in distress, underwater tourism with an acrylic panoramic-vision hull and a capacity for 50 passengers, etc. The SAGA, a 545-ton submarine rated to 600 meters, propelled by “Stirling’’ engines, built in the 80s in cooperation with IFREMER ( French Research Institute for Exploitation of the Sea), remains the largest civilian diving lock-out submersible in the world.
